The ideal candidate will have proven skills in establishing/developing design schemes and leading/coordinating design teams for interior architectural projects. Candidates must have significant knowledge of commercial furniture and finishes. Effective communication and presentation skills are required. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and extensive experience leading design teams on multiple projects. Candidates must be fluent in English and Communication in Chinese would be an advantage. What You Will DoLeading design efforts through all phases of Workplace interior projects including guiding, advising, and mentoring other designers on projects, developing design directions and leading design critiques/forumsActing as primary design interface with clients Selecting interior finishes, furniture and equipmentProducing space plans, furniture plans, elevations, conceptual and finished design presentation documentationProviding solutions to design problems and generate design alternativesReviewing drawings, mock ups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors Delivering the highest quality of professional service Your Qualifications15+ years experience in the design of Workplace interior projectsHolds a degree in interior design from an accredited programKnowledge of applicable building code and ADA code compliance regulationsStrong organizational, communication and presentation skillsProficient in all aspects of interior designPreferably proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio, sketch up and free hand sketchesProficiency in English mandatory, communication in Chinese would be an advantage.Your Design Technology QualificationsExperience in managing design teams with Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper skills.Experience in collaboration within the BIM context, including cloud-based markups, consultant coordination and clash detection.Understanding of real-time rendering processes within the context of BIM and parametric workflows.Familiarity with the BIM project lifecycle through design, construction and operational phases.Understanding of BIM deliverables and terminology in contracts.Experience in establishing and managing BIM teams for project design and delivery.Experience in managing design teams with Revit/Rhino/Grasshopper skills.Applications we work withDesign Authoring - Revit, Rhino, Autocad, NavisworksCollaboration - BIM360Computational Design - Grasshopper, DynamoBuilding Performance Simulation - Insight, Sefaira, Diva, Ladybug toolsVisualisation – Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, 3DSMaxGraphics & Productivity - Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office SuiteExperiential – Unreal Engine, UnityDevelopment – C#, PythonPlease include work samples along with your Resume and Portfolio.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
