Let’s deliver stunning projects.Your RoleAs a Design Manager, you will lead a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled projects with a core focus on workplace, ideally you will still be involved in the actual work, supporting and fostering a culture of self-supporting design teams. While showing you can use Revit with the best of them.You like helping people and solving problems. You love taking on ambitious challenges and finding creative solutions. No two days are the same and you would be joining a studio that likes to have fun.What You Will DoBe a trusted advisor for your clients and build relationshipsManage all phases of corporate interiors projects, including project set-up, design and construction administrationPrepare project proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, coordinate bidding processCreate and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirementsManage project scheduling, budgets, and set-up with sub-contractors, vendors and consultantsTrack financial performance of projectsEnsure projects conform to contractSupport communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsPartner with project team to manage client and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultantsYour Qualifications8 + years of project experience in an architectural practice including demonstrated success as a project manager on a range of corporate interiors project typesExperience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancyExperience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teamsExperience negotiating project scope and feesMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationshipsProfessional degree in Architecture or Interior Design required, Licensure preferredStrong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skillsExperience with Revit and MS Office required, additional experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), is a plusFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to work relatively independently, when neededWorking knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structuresLEED accreditation preferredLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
