WATG is hiring a Design Technology Specialist - Revit + BIM for our office in Tustin, Orange County, CA. ROLE The Design Technology Specialist - Revit + BIM works in production, documentation, BIM models (Revit), and project information models, which contain data, drawings, and schedules associated with all phases of design. The Design Technology Specialist coordinates, tests, and deploys various Revit and BIM workflow solutions for all disciplines. The Design Technology Specialist works on design projects within the office and studio and is integrated into the firmwide Design Technology team. The Design Technology Specialist reports to the global Design Technology Lead. RESPONSIBILITIES Manages and maintains project content and sources additional content for project teams Manages data sets/workflows and project set-ups in the role of CAD and BIM coordination Delivers technical support for Revit + BIM enabling software applications to the project team Prepares project-specific training documentation and project BIM execution plans (BEPs) Generates, reviews and leads clash detection reports with the project team and the general contractor as well as visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Assists in the creation and documentation of new workflows and communicates them to the design staff Develops content in Revit, dynamo, and BIM for families, schedules, data, and definitions Audits and reviews models in Autodesk Revit and Cloud platforms, e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud Provides one-on-one mentoring in Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, and BIM Software enabling applications and 'Best Practice' workflows to project teams Produces Revit 3D Element modelling, scheduling, quantification and verification Coordinates multiple design models with other modeling software used by our design teams, including Rhino, Sketchup, and other 3d modeling tools Reviews 3D Models from consultants and contractors Works with internal and external developers to create automation and acceleration tools related to WATG workflows and project delivery Contributes to the development, communication, and training of model and data-driven design methodologies Communicates and provides change management for design-technology-related software updates Operationally manages cloud-based delivery platforms and data repositories, including working with internal developers to automate processes related to these platforms Researches future platforms for design technology and project delivery Assists in the development and documentation of global and office project design technology standards, libraries and templates Develops and supports staff evaluations and skills assessments related to the range of software and plugins listed in this Job Description QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computational Design or other design or technology related field 5+ years of progressive experience in Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, Revizto, BIM/3D modeling, and visualization tools Experience with acceleration, analysis, automation, and customization tools in the specific software listed above Experience with operational management of cloud-based delivery platforms, environmental analysis, and data repositories preferred Strong knowledge of Revit, Dynamo and Navisworks, Rhino, Sketchup, and other 3D modeling tools Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team environment and supervise others Effectively meets project deadlines consistently Ability to manage multiple projects of complex scope JOB INFORMATION Salary range: $80,000-$100,000 per year *You must include a copy of your resume and portfolio.
