Your Role
As a Senior Designer at Gensler, you will lead creative, collaborative teams dedicated to design innovation and excellence. Use your unique design perspective to bring new approaches to design process and strategy, develop next-generation talent, and help our clients redesign what’s possible.
What You Will Do
Lead creative efforts on a variety of client projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies.
Mentor and provide creative direction to junior design teams.
Closely collaborate with Design Directors for personal career development, coaching, and mentorship.
Play a key role in a range of interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation.
Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), finish palettes, and lighting.
Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
Provide design support and documentation guidance during completion and execution of design concepts.
Act as the key design interface with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school.
10+ years of interior design experience.
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficient in Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other modeling software programs.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
LEED accreditation, preferred.
NCIDQ accreditation, preferred.
Strong corporate workplace experience and hospitality experience is desired.
