Desktop Support Technician II ZGF is seeking a Desktop Support Technician II to join our firmwide Technology Group promoting and supporting technology and applications in our Washington, DC office. Our ideal candidate will be a talented and motivated person with excellent technical, communication, and time management skills. The base compensation range for this role is $72,500 to $90,000 annually, dependent on education and experience.As a Desktop Support Technician II, you will… Maintain desktop security through management of anti-virus, anti-spyware, any other client-based security systems, policy and best security practices. Manage updates of application and operating system updates and patches locally or via centralized systems. Configure, deploy, maintain, support and disposition ZGF technology equipment following ZGF IT policies. Support use of virtual desktop and application environments.Orient new employees to general Information Technology environment at ZGF. Respond to and resolve general hardware and software issues. Perform user account creation. Configure, deploy, maintain, support and disposition ZGF computing devices. Manage ZGF technology assets.Troubleshoot general printer issues. Create, maintain and archive documentation for ZGF technology as needed. Provides top notch tier two technology support for ZGF staff encompassing all manner of technology. Provides escalation support and acts as a resource for Desktop Support I. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation. Supports and collaborates with technology projects firmwide. Collaborate with other members of ZGF Technology and other staff members to resolve technology issues. Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience in an equivalent role. Associate degree required, bachelor's degree desired. CompTIA A+ Certification desired but not required. Expert Windows 10, iOS and Android troubleshooting skills as well as expert knowledge of M365 productivity applications. Understanding of: Networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS Microsoft AD and AAD, MDM, WSUS Best security practices as it relates to enterprise environments Web-based conferencing technologies Experience with PowerShell, WMI, an IT ticketing system, Microsoft MECM, Intune, and virtualization concepts including application virtualization, desktop virtualization (VDI). Good work ethic – timely, team-player, honest, dependable, conscientious, respectful, and accountable; exhibit sound judgment and possess excellent communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills; organize and prioritize multiple tasks with high attention to detail and sensitivity to the time-critical nature of our employees’ deadline-driven work.
