The Position: You should have very strong design sensibilities, accompanied by leadership skills, and should have experience as a lead designer in project teams from the Concept Design stage up to at least the Design Development stage. Next to strong capabilities regarding design and design strategy, the candidate should have strong communication and organisational skills to support the project management and to coach other designers.
Key Responsibilities
The Requirements: A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Design Architect Experience in overseeing or assisting with overseeing a design team Documented experience in multiple stages of the design process from Concept Design up to at least Design Development Very strong aesthetic sensibilities and design skills – implementing key design concepts to drive a holistic design A keen awareness of design constraints, such as regulatory, interdisciplinary and economic parameters Experience with rationalising and refining spatial organisation and complex design geometry Good team player with the ability to: organise own work and that of others; clearly communicate with the Director and project manager; and coach/motivate team members Proactive and self-motivated, with a continuous desire to learn, grow and coach others Fluent English communication skills (reading, writing and speech) Good knowledge of Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. – additional experience with Revit is a plus We look forward to receiving your C.V./resume + portfolio + short motivation letter.
