The Opportunity:
At FOS, it’s all about the people. With exceedingly low turnover rates, we’re constantly growing, and that’s where this new opportunity comes in – for Facility Assessment Support out of our Buffalo, NY office. In this position, the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing back-end support for project managers and facility assessment team members, handling data collected in the field. They will occasionally perform as an Assessor within a multi-disciplinary team for a variety of building types including healthcare, education, sports, public and commercial.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide technical CAD drawings, quantity take-offs, and report assembling/development for facility condition and suitability assessment projects
- Provide pre-assessment support organizing documentation materials required for the onsite visit including sequencing locations, maps, schedule development, downloading and saving client provided documents, and other information as requested
- Produce, edit, and notate technical floor plans and other graphic items for reports
- Assist project managers with support to deliver project deliverables and products for facility condition and suitability assessments
- Gather, analyze, and document facility suitability data using Excel or other tools to perform a gap analysis between facility requirements and existing space types and/or an analysis for user survey instruments
- Conduct on-site facility condition assessments on existing buildings, evaluating assigned systems to determine condition, remaining useful life, and required expenses and remedial measures, working effectively with assessment mentor and other on-site personnel
- Assist assessors with asset tag data entry
- Prepare project progress documentation including meeting communications for project manager review
- Assist with post-project review
- Work with assessors and field project managers to develop skills to perform additional support tasks on facility condition and suitability assessment projects

Required skills and experience:
- Associate degree in a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills a must
- Must be able to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam and the aptitude for tablet and mobile device tools required
- Ability to travel up to 25% for out-of-town assignments required
The hourly range for this position to be filled in the Buffalo, NY office is $21.92 - $27.40 per hour. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
