You will work closely with office leadership and Project Managers to inform and advise them on the finances of the office and projects. You will be a member of the office management team and connected to the Perkins&Will corporate accounting group. You must love creative problem solving and translating numbers into information that your colleagues can understand. Responsibilities: Team with Project Managers and office leadership to track project financial performance including reviewing project work plans, budgets, and staffing plans for fee alignment; provide project financial training as needed Accounting functions including time and expense reporting, client invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, etc. Financial management, cash management, budgeting, and forecasting Reporting and analysis of financial and operational metrics, ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive decision making, budget and variance analysis Monthly close of accounting records, preparation and analysis of monthly and annual finance statements Assist in preparation of annual operations budget, monitor adherence to budget throughout the year Supervise accounting activities in the office Prepare and file all local Business License Applications, Sales & Use Tax Returns, and occupancy tax returns if required by the office Support the reporting requirements of the firm wide corporate accounting group Open communication with other offices on projects that are coordinated among multiple offices Proactively develop new ideas and solutions to improve financial management of office Requirements: Finance/accounting or related degree with 7 years of accounting experience in a professional services environment, preferably in the architecture or related design field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse personalities Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills Initiative and ability to work well independently and with others Experience with Deltek Vision or other resource planning tools is preferred Perkins&Will offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
