**The Opportunity**
This role is to be based in our legacy Barton Willmore Reading office (The Blade) which is made up of approximately 80 people working in Town Planning, Architecture, Masterplanning, Landscape, Graphic Communication and Professional Services. The office is located in a modern, open-plan and high-quality premises in Central Reading, just 5 minutes’ walk from Reading train station.

**About you**
**To have an impact in the role you will:**
+ Work collaboratively within your team and across the Graduate cohort
+ Develop Masterplanning technical knowledge and awareness of other Stantec disciplines and services
+ Deliver a quality design service on a range of applications
+ Have good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign and Revit
+ Support with the preparation of baseline site and context analysis, including photographic surveys of sites and their surrounding areas
+ Assist with preparing designs, drawings and illustrations
+ Produce early stage concept design options to a specific brief as required
+ Contribute to the design process of early stage planning applications
+ Assist with the co-ordination of project teams and project management, helping project leads to complete their tasks in delivering projects to time and budget
+ Seek opportunities to grow your own network internally and externally
**To succeed in the role, it is likely that you will:**
+ Have a relevant degree
+ Have a relevant postgraduate qualification (Urban Design Masters or PG Diploma)
+ Have relevant industry experiences and good knowledge of Masterplanning
+ Be committed to continuing your professional development with a willingness to learn and progress
+ Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Be personable and professional with high levels of motivation, ambition and drive
+ Have excellent team-working skills
+ Be commercially minded and take on personal responsibility
+ Be committed and have an eye for detail
+ Have an ability to manage your own time and workload
+ Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

**LandAid**
Stantec has partnered with property sector charity LandAid as one of its corporate partners to join its mission to end youth homelessness.
In 2019/20, an estimated 120,000 young people asked for help from their local council because they were homeless or at risk of homelessness.
It’s a problem that LandAid are here to help tackle.
As the Property Industry Charity, LandAid unite over 200 organisations from across the sector, working together to bring an end to youth homelessness.
As a Charitable Trust, they distribute funding to frontline charities supporting the young and homeless – and primarily fund capital projects, such as renovating homes and building bedspaces.
