You will draft, consolidate, communicate, and maintain documentation and processes consistent with ITIL, NIST, CUI/CMMC, and ISO 27000 series ISMS standards in order to maintain an industry-leading security program for our global firm. Since our firm is employee-owned, the goal is to create and preserve a standards-based environment where employees, visitors, and property are safe and well-protected without needlessly impeding individual rights to privacy.**This position is on-site in either our Los Angeles or Oakland, CA office**What You Will DoDevelop, maintain, and collaborate over information security-related policies, standards, and guidelines, overseeing the dissemination of such policies and practices based on applicable security frameworks such as NIST, ISO ISMS, PCI DSS, and FISMA.Create and execute an annual budget for global security operations, projected up to three years out.Recruit, train, and supervise multiple tier-3 security professionals across time zones and global regions.Coordinate global staff during emergencies.Collaborate with internal infrastructure teams, including Legal and Compliance, Technology, Human Resources, IT Operations, and external business partners.Create and review reports on security events and incidents, working with managers across the globe on remediation, documentation, and procedural correction that prevents recurrence.Analyze data and current and anticipated events to form proposals for improvements, such as implementing new technology or procedures.Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures for safeguarding staff and property.Develop secure network designs and protection strategies supporting global computer intrusion defense operations.Oversee and directly assist with implementing new security technologies, disaster recovery planning, business continuity planning, penetration testing, risk assessment, and security incident response methods and plans.Provide expert security advice and perspective to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.Work with Linux, Windows, and Apple Macintosh system administration teams to audit, monitor and validate environment security, including conducting gap analysis and other comprehensive internal assessments of existing systems to improve the security infrastructure and mitigate risks.Develop global training programs to increase security awareness of relevant information security practices, protocols, and procedures.Providing annual risk reviews, business impact analysis, business continuity reports, and risk status updates to leadershipMeasure the effectiveness of core IT and physical security programs by conducting periodic assessments and providing leadership, guidance, and oversight to security coordinators by completing on-site security audits and identifying any gaps for remediation.Provide subject matter expertise to case leaders and assist with investigations involving allegations of workplace violence, theft, or other potential criminal activity.Provide technical and policy guidance and execution of evidence seizure, forensic services, and the presentation of case material to legal and compliance staff and law enforcement professionals while maintaining chain of custody.Other duties as assigned.Your QualificationsHold a master’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Information / Cyber Security or other related field, or equivalent experience.US Government security clearance7+ year's experience working in law enforcement, government intelligence agency, or corporate security with specific experience in implementing security programs.One or more of the following certifications in good standing: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Systems Security Manager), or GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification).Demonstrate the ability to read at least two programming languages with proficiency in a third, such as reading code in node.js or MS PowerShell and reproducing the same function in Python.Demonstrate a solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysisProven ability to effectively manage conflict and apply sound judgment in advising and influencing others at all organizational levels.Gensler is an employee-owned firm, and this role is simultaneously workforce, executive, and client-facing - outstanding leadership and social skills must be demonstrated.The ideal candidate will possess a passion for living, bringing Gensler culture and values to life, and inspiring others to do the same.
