About YouAs a Graduate Interior Designer, this role will provide you with an opportunity to convert your academic knowledge into working practice and to develop additional skills that you can only gain in a live office environment. Under the direction and supervision of a mentor, you'll work as part of a team, assisting in the development of Interior Design schemes. It's a chance for you to shine, and to contribute to the flow of ideas and energy that sustain a busy practiceYour Skills and ExperienceDegree-qualified (or equivalent other) in Interior Architecture or Interior DesignRecent experience in similar role preferredExceptional concept design, visualisation, sketching and presentation skillsFully conversant in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, 3D modelling software (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino etc) and Microsoft Office packages, including Outlook.Working knowledge of managing email, sharing files and creating, organising, managing and preserving record documents using Newforma Project CenterGood levels of self-organisation, with the ability to plan, organise and manage workflowsThe ability to work in a team and follow instructionsAble to plan and organise personal time, and work effectively to meet deadlines and manage priorities with minimum supervisionAble to work under reasonable work-related pressure and maintain excellent attention to detailKey ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of your mentor, carefully complete the tasks assigned to you in the time allocated and assist other designers with developing designs and production information Research and gather information and images relating to the project such as concept proposals, look & feel options, precedent studiesLearn to source suitable products such as fittings, furniture and finishes, taking into consideration materials, sustainability, durability and project complianceCreate sample boards, mood boards and imagery for ClientsLearn to use NBS Chorus (technical training to be provided) and assist with specification writingParticipate in Project Reviews and coordination workshopsUnder the supervision of your mentor, attend and participate in Design Team Meetings and Site Meetings. Support the other Designers in understanding and coordinating the designLearn to use Newforma Document Control (training to be provided).
