Role overview:

The IT Intern will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity starting June 12 through August 18, 2023. This position is located at the Grimshaw New York studio. This internship is an opportunity to learn about IT support using a broad range of technologies, as well as gaining experience working in a global services-based firm. This person will gain firsthand experience within the Architecture and Design industry, being exposed to the global IT team, Design Technology and Business Analyst teams.

Internship Responsibilities:

• Participating in day-to-day helpdesk and conference room technology support
• Assisting with technology aspects of a full office move to a new studio
• Supporting general technology asset management
• Auditing and cleaning up Active Directory
• Configuring Intune and deploying security policy

The candidate will get exposure to andor hands-on experience with the following technologies (and possibly more):

• PowerShell scripting
• PRTG network and hardware monitoring
• Azure Active Directory & Office 365
• Okta
• FreshService
• PDQ Deployment and Inventory Solutions
• Windows and Mac OS

Requirements for successful candidates:

• Minimum of two years of undergraduate coursework completed in a relevant degree program
• Genuine interest in practical technology and scripting.
• Some knowledge of Windows andor Mac OS.
• Willingness to provide great customer service. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Technical certifications and scripting knowledge is a big plus.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning with a strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work both independently in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a project team is a must.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
