We are currently seeking an experienced Healthcare Consultant. Under the direction of the Director of Healthcare Consulting Services, this position will support the healthcare strategies and consulting practice through completing hospital and health system strategic planning and programming projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: With support from senior staff, lead and conduct planning meetings with hospital staff, C-Suite, physicians, and nursing staff to gather input and assess best practices, practice variations, business planning, service line planning, process improvements as they pertain to the clinical operations, business plan and program. Completing and overseeing complex analysis tasks on projects and problem solving on projects (e.g., patient volume projections, observation surveys, functional relationship analysis, highest and best use studies, supply and demand, utilization analysis, efficiency ratios, cross over analysis, stacking & blocking, organizational analysis, space type analysis, density analysis, space inventory, capacity models, strategic master planning and facility benchmarks). Organizing operational and service analysis for clinical changes and improvements. Creating associated space and functional plans based on the capacity requirements to provide a framework for future operations and space needs. Translating volume projections into capacity requirements based on best practice operating models. Organizing and analyzing demographic, market and competitor trend data, and client operating data from a variety of sources. Developing integrated quantitative models that support demand/volume projections for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and diagnostic and treatment areas. Creating a corresponding capital cost analysis based on the capacity requirements. Facilitating and overseeing facility assessment work utilized to inform a strategic master plan. Works multiple concurrent projects effectively. Produces client-ready deliverables with succinct, well-supported conclusions and recommendations Fosters strong client relationships with existing and potential clients Keeps current on industry trends and innovations. Participates in marketing efforts as needed Required Skills Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint expertise. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Excellent organizational skills Ability to work effectively with team members, across geographical locations, to achieve results in tight time frames Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Master’s degree preferred. 3 years’ experience in healthcare administration, healthcare consulting, finance, or related field.
