This is an opportunity to be part of a strategic HR service model in a creative and cutting-edge environment, in addition to being hands-on, working closely with the HR and leadership teams. You will be the day to day contact for your studios and offices to educate on the firm’s core HR services, which include employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation, retirement plans, compliance, mobility and policies & procedures. This position will be based in the Seattle office with the expectation to travel to our Portland and Vancouver, Canada locations on occasion (10-15% of the time.)What You Will DoWork closely with Regional HR Director and HR team members, studio leaders and office leadership on people matters related to talent development, performance management and employee relationsAdvocate for team members, be a trusted and confidential advisor, and suggest best practices to enhance employee experience and lead industry Counsel managers and leaders on human resources issues, providing insight and options compliant with legislation and consistent with Gensler philosophies, policies and cultureAssist in succession planning program and proactively developing staff and leadershipInvestigate, document and resolve employee relations mattersPartner with HR Director, Regional Operating Officer (ROO), and leadership regarding compensation and reward programsOversee the onboarding program and initial evaluation process for assigned studiosConduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the leadership team for continuous improvementPartner with Talent Development in rolling out development and learning programs, including our annual PDP program, to ensure successUnderstand all Gensler policies and ensure compliance within the officesFacilitate global mobility of employees with transfer, relocation, and visa processingPartner with HR team colleagues to create and innovate HR practicesOther duties and responsibilities as appropriateYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area required5+ years of Human Resources experience, architecture or professional services firm experience preferredWorking knowledge of employment law and compliance regulations at federal, state and local levelsAdvanced MS Office proficiency preferred, particularly ExcelExperience with Workday preferredExperience running and analyzing reportsFamiliarity with Washington, Oregon, British Columbia employment law preferredAbility to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environmentAbility to work independently, navigate and maintain productivity in a matrix environmentStrong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationshipsExcellent organizational skills; attention to detailExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) requiredAbility to persuade and influence leadership on people mattersPHR/SHRM-CP certification or equivalent preferred**The base salary will be estimated between $120,000 - $140,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.Life at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
