Interior Designer

Interior Designer  HOK designs buildings and spaces that respond to the needs of people and the environment. HOK Onsite Services (OSS) is looking for an Interior Designer to work at the client site in Cleveland, Ohio.  The Interior Designer provides, and/or supports, the production of comprehensive facility planning services and space planning deliverables that meet the client's business and real estate needs.    RESPONSIBILITIES Generates test fit layouts and concept designs in accordance with client guidelines, with minimal assistance. Communicates positively with client, responding appropriately, and working independently to develop the solution. Supports complex facility occupancy planning (e.g. analysis, options development, evaluation, recommendations). Maintains awareness of workplace design and furniture trends and innovation. Document client meeting information visually, numerically and verbally at an acceptable quality level. Ensures occupancy information is updated and accurate. Knows and understands client specific service delivery work processes and responsibility distribution. Co-ordinates project close out activities from client projects, including processing as-builts, final CAD, spec books and warranties. Support on-going interiors projects through: Assisting with furniture purchase, developing bids, placing orders and coordination. Assisting with schedules in MS Project Site visits for construction progress. Supports development of occupancy plans for the client, demonstrating a keen ability to collect information and translate it into a comprehensive floor plan concept and design that communicates the solution into a layout for the client. Required Skills Good verbal and written communication skills required. Proficiency in English language. Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently with periodic supervision. Write client reports and deliverable text clearly and comprehensibly. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, strong analysis and spreadsheet capabilities. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in interior design or foreign equivalent. 3 plus years' experience required in interior design.
