INTERIOR DESIGNER – HONG KONG HOK designs buildings and spaces that respond to the needs of people and the environment. Responsibilities Assists the team to develop unique design concepts for hospitality into reality Prepare and coordinate the development and preparation of preliminary design concepts Select and research project theme, design materials, furnishings, finishes, and accessories Co-ordinate and prepare conceptual mood boards, detailed FF&E specifications, design documents, sketches, plans, details, and schedules under the direction of the design leader Review shop drawings from manufacturers Required Skills In-depth knowledge of FF&E design: good understanding of furniture, fabrics, decorative lighting, carpet, window treatment design, and fabrication Familiarity with local suppliers is beneficial 3D modeling and rendering skill in Sketch-Up/ Rhino and Escape is a bonus LEED accreditation an advantage Ability to communicate effectively in presentations and in writing Fluent in both written and spoken English. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus Be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to explore new concepts/ideas Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or equivalent in education or experience 5 to 8 years of hospitality/residential interior design experience required Interested applicants please send cover letter, resume and portfolio of work (8MB maximum) plus current and expected salary to recruitap@hok.com.
