Gensler's Dallas office is seeking a leader to strengthen our architectural expertise and client relationship base in our Residential Practice Area. What You Will Do Develop, communicate, and act on a practice area game plan which includes market positioning, revenue projections, and managing marketing spend, while maintaining a backlog of work and a pipeline of market opportunities across the Dallas office Lead the creation of strong and innovative design concepts for a range of residential project types in a variety of settings, including high-rise, mixed-use, multi-family, permanent supportive housing, student-oriented, and senior living Coordinate client management, project organization and start-up, and the development of new business in the Residential Practice Area Continuously develop and explore the business by leveraging relationships among those in the Residential (multi-family) sector, community leaders, and stakeholders Seek to leverage the capabilities of the Firm in the U.S. and help build the practice within what is recognized as the firm’s Lifestyle Studio by collaborating with other Residential Practice Area leaders Collaborate with Residential Practice Area Leadership to develop a standard of practice that addresses the unique requirements of this practice area Develop opportunities to work across multiple practices and protocols to offer internal advisory services to appropriate projects Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges Recruit, develop, and mentor staff on projects Your Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture At least 15+ years in an architectural practice with ample residential wood frame, multi-family experience, inclusive of 10 or more years of experience in marketing and business development Possess an existing network of connections to clients, brokers, landlords, and consultants in the Residential/Mixed Use sector Licensed Architect LEED accreditation preferred Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, within the firm and externally – with clients, consultants, and other key participants in the design and development process. Proven sensibility to the design process and ability to interpret and develop creative and technically proficient solutions to design challenges A commitment to the principles of sustainable design and experience integrating them on specific projects Versatile, self-motivated, and articulate Knowledge of and comfort using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
