Project Accounting Manager ZGF is seeking a Project Accounting Manager to join our team in our Seattle office. The Project Accounting Manager supervises one of the three regional hubs with the Project Accounting team. This position will supervise ZGF’s Seattle, Los Angeles and Vancouver (Canada) offices. The Manager provides a review and consolidation of projects and reports on monthly office results. They will be an integral member in executing best practices consistently across offices, PMs and projects following the guidelines set by the Senior Project Accounting Manager and CFO. They will provide day-to-day guidance to 3-4 Project Accountants level I & II (PA) in their hub. The Manager will also serve as project accountant on some projects and provide overflow and backup support for their team.The current base compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 annually, dependent on education and experience.The Project Accounting Manager will be responsible for the following:STAFF MANAGEMENT DUTIESManages Project Accountant team in hub by coaching, mentoring, and fostering personal growth opportunities. Accomplishes staff results by balancing workloads, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, including performance reviews.Holds regular meetings with PAs within hub to discuss issues, upcoming changes, check-in, and training.Promotes a supportive, collaborative and team environment to ensure Project Accountants in all offices feel included, as part of the firmwide PA team, and that they are following the firmwide policies and procedures.POLICY MANAGEMENT DUTIESSupervises the PA team within hub to collaboratively execute best practices for the firm’s project accounting and management and monitors to ensure standard policies are being practiced.Collaborates with the Senior Project Accounting Manager to develop and implement process improvement.PROJECT PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT DUTIESAssists PA team within hub with questions, aiding in research and making recommendations for resolutions.Leads meetings with Project Accountants and Project Managers to discuss project status and highlight potential issues.Partners with Project Managers to educate on project financials.Performs monthly project report reviews to determine that policies and procedures are being met, information in the accounting system is accurate, and project goals are being met.Owns reporting of monthly project performance for each office within hub.Supports project revenue forecasting.PROJECT ACCOUNTING DUTIESManage the full project accounting life cycle, from project setup to closeout. Set up new projects with client and consultant contract parameters (fees, billing basis, consultant costs, expenses, markups)Coordinate subconsultant invoice review, approval, and postingPrepare and process monthly invoices in line with contractual agreementsMonitor accounts receivable and drive collectionsAssist in project closeoutQualifications:7 or more years in A&E industry preferred.A degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.Prior management experience required.Deltek Vision experience preferred. Microsoft Office suite proficiency with emphasis on Excel and strong computer skills.
