Your Role As a Gensler Architect, you will collaborate with a team of architects and designers to develop design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction administration phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to develop design solutions, translate sketches and documents into realized 3D models and construction drawings and can research technical issues when they arise. Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career.What You Will DoDesign and plan complex architectural projects of varying types Work in all phases of design through construction administrationManage and lead the client, the design team, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives.Ideally have Design-Build Project ExperienceProduce BIM models and construction drawingsResolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical and constructible solutions.Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development for both interiors and core & shell projects.A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentEffective communicator, collaborative and team-conscious.Provide Mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff membersParticipate in office culture and drive office initiativesYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school Registered architect10 -15+ years of experience in the profession of architectural designExperience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultantsExperience working directly with trade partners and contractorsExperience resolving complex technical and design issuesProficiency with Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative SuiteUnderstanding of how buildings are constructed and ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be doneKnowledge of California building codes, standards and building structuresUnderstanding of sustainable and universal design conceptsStrong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skillsDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required.
