Your Role
As a Project Architect, you will lead a team of architects and designers to develop innovative design solutions for Critical Facilities, Cleanroom, and Dry Lab projects. You will oversee the design, management, and technical aspects of projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring quality, performance, and documentation meet the highest standards. Your expertise will help resolve complex technical issues and deliver successful project outcomes.
What You Will Do
Work with design directors and project teams on conceptual designs, presentations, and design development.
Participate in all project phases, including schematic design, construction documents, and production.
Produce graphic diagrams, presentations and high-quality construction drawings using BIM (Revit).
Resolve complex design and technical issues with innovative and practical solutions.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and vendors to meet project objectives.
This role may require on-site co-location with key clients for extended periods of time.
You will have the opportunity to represent Gensler embedded with the client, general contractor, and project delivery team.
Write and maintain project manuals and specifications.
Manage project team coordination and consultant relationships, ensuring effective communication and project follow-up.
Assist in new business proposals and presentations, leveraging industry experience to attract clients.
Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff to promote professional growth.
Your Qualifications
Professional B.A. or M.A. degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
Licensed Architect.
10+ years of experience in architectural design.
Experience in designing cleanrooms, dry labs and/or critical facilities is preferred, as well as a strong understanding of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.
Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
Experience with Rhino, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Enscape is preferred but not required.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, with experience in LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, or Net Zero Building certifications preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
A quick learner with the capacity to communicate design ideas effectively.
