Leverage your industry experience and technical insight to drive client projects from concept through build. You must actively participate in all project phases, including documentation and construction administration. What You Will DoManage all phases of projects, from project documentation set-up and construction administration.Manage project scheduling, budgets, and set-up with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants. Management of related costs by supervising project developments and skills in clash detection with digital tools.Guarantee the delivery of the architectural and/or technical aspects of a project.Provide project team coordination, specification, and material selections required for construction.Resolution of complex technical and design issues as they arise during document preparation and construction administrationManage a range of project team sizes comprised of consultants, project architects, interior designers, and job captains.Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of technical documentsParticipating in preconstruction phases, RFIs, and value engineering.Participating in the construction administration of project assignments, including quality control and submittal reviews, Working with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesProduce architectural drawingConduct site inspectionsManage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape civil consultants, and/or involved parties.Support communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.Review technical documents to ensure accuracy.Oversee the construction administration of project assignments with a focus on managing design intent and quality control. Ability to maintain design integrity, construction quality, and supervision of materials that meet international standardsLead coordination with contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to ensure the constructed project meets overall project objectivesAble to perceive or prevent risks in any part of the processOther assigned responsibilities.Your QualificationsBachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent.Licensed or registered architect8+ years of project experience in architectural practice, with 5+ years of interior-focused experienceProficiency in REVIT, Sketch Up, and construction administration software.Working knowledge of national and international building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures 100% bilingual English/Spanish, well written with excellent verbal communication skillsConstruction experienceExperience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancyStrong leadership, communication and relationship management skillsConstruction documentation and/or design detail development experienceAbility to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and emotional intelligenceExperience leading, managing and mentoring multiple project teamsProven fiscal accountability and responsibility on various project typesMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationshipsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational skillsLife at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
