The role at a glance:
NBBJ Seattle is looking for a mid-level Interiors focused Project Architect/Designer to work on projects varying from small TI work to full corporate campuses involving client contact and leadership responsibilities. The Interiors Project Architect performs architectural design and development work for projects involving construction of the interiors of new buildings and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities.
In this role you will:
Provide expertise in executing Corporate projects to team members, clients, and contractors from early design through construction administration.
Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options.
Establish key work priorities for development of design, documentation, scheduling, and budgeting.
Interpret design concepts by collaborating with the project team and translate them into workable construction systems.
Responsible for the development of the contract documents for construction of new buildings and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities, with a focus on interiors.
Evaluate alternatives in order to develop solutions while maintaining technical quality, code compliance, and design control.
Lead project engineers to ensure an integrated approach and coordinate project requirements.
Prepare designs, working drawings, specifications, and coordinate cost estimates for projects.
Maintain records to document phases of the project.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, lighting designers, and all project disciplines.
Lead the work of other team members, providing mentorship and guidance.
May participate in marketing efforts, including presentations.
What you will need to succeed:
Minimum 8 years of experience in interiors and/or the architectural field and well versed in Corporate markets with significant experience on large scale interiors projects.
Bachelors or Masters degree.
Licensure required; LEED Accredited a plus.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Office Suite.
Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work with integrity, trust, and commitment; setting an example for others.
Ability to travel if the project(s) requires.
Compensation:
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $85,000 and $105,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications, and experience.
