The ideal individual will have 8+ years of experience, be a self-starter, and have strong project architect skills, as well as the ability to manage a design team in coordination with the Design Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile renovation project in Beijing and you will need to accommodate project-based arrangement - weekly travel between Shanghai and Beijing will be required during the project. As a Project Architect, your common and baseline responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate with designers, project managers, and other team members to assist in the development of our projects, according to firm and project goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability. Understand and have experience in the application of planning, programming, and design principles and methods. Coordinate the production of schematic, design development. Maintains awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to project. Understands and responds to technical implications and design decisions. Reviews shop drawings, material samples, and construction documents for conformance with design. Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance and in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual. Participates and collaborates in design reviews, charrettes, and pin-ups. Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance. Coordinates effectively with client, partners and consultants. May participate in marketing, client, and owner presentations. Support growth of junior staff. To join us, you should have: A professional degree in Architecture or related discipline +8 years of experience Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of junior staff Experience in all phases and aspects of a project Familiarity with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems Understanding of project management process Experience reviewing construction documentation Effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese Collaborative and professional work ethic LEED AP or within 6 months of hire Professional licensure is preferred Qualified and interested candidates should submit a resume and work samples.
