About the Role

We are looking for a Public Relations Manager to elevate Perkins&Will’s profile in the UK and beyond. This role is about shaping our narrative, securing high-profile visibility, and positioning our London studio as a leader in architecture and design.

As part of our marketing team, you will develop and implement strategic communications that amplify our work and extraordinary people, engage key stakeholders, and influence industry conversations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic public affairs and brand communication plan with clear KPIs.
• Cultivate relationships with journalists to secure media coverage in architecture, design, and national press.
• Drive thought leadership, securing speaking engagements, opinion pieces, and expert commentary.
• Shape and manage our corporate messaging, elevating the visibility of our London and Dublin teams.
• Lead non-project awards strategy and submission process.
• Identify key industry events and conferences, securing speaker slots and engagement opportunities.
• Manage and direct external PR and communications agencies to maximise impact.
• Oversee social media, website content, and digital presence, ensuring alignment with PR strategy.
• Work with the studios teams to integrate PR with broader firm initiatives.
• Act as the lead Perkins&Will London representative in the Sidara Collective.

What You Bring

• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Strong media relationships and a deep understanding of UK and international press, particularly in architecture and design.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate ideas into impactful campaigns.
• Experience leading communications teams and external consultants.
• Ability to work collaboratively across global teams, managing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Given the hands-on and varied nature of this position, the interviewing panel will include core members of the senior team across our Architecture and Interior Design departments, here in the UK and within our US team. We plan to start the interview process at the start of March 2025, and given the seniority of the position, there are expected to be three to four interview stages.
