So, if you are a disruptive computational leader that’s ready to change the world with big and impactful ideas, we want you to join our growing and innovative team!Your Role As part of our Southeast Regional Design Technology Managers, you are focused on researching, promoting, elevating and strategically implementing our BIM Platforms for the region.  A critical multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space to our regional offices and project teams. Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital platforms implementation in partnership / collaboration with your peers in the Regional Design Technology group.  In partnership with the SE Regional Design Technology leadership you will determine the strategy and roadmap for advancement of our regional digital design practices.  We are seeking an experienced design professional with a deep knowledge of the entire design and construction process, as well as a curiosity for innovation to join our regional team.  Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivery the highest value and best outcomes to our clients. What You Will DoDesign Technology Process Innovation Creation and ImplementationHelp create a brand and ecosystem for Design Technology in our regionSubject Matter Expert on Agile Digital Project Delivery to Project TeamsProject Technology Execution Plan development, implementation and supportDevelopment, implementation and support of tools, templates and workflowsReduce waste through Interoperability pipeline developmentTransform smart-digital data-driven ideas into reality implemented on projectsChampion digital transformation and cultural change throughout the regionCollaborate with regional Design Technology leaders on requirements and prioritiesParticipate in establishing and driving the Design Technology roadmap for the regionLead cultural, process-driven and technical training in Design TechnologyResearch emerging technologies and define use-case for implementation on projectsRepresent our firm through speaking engagements, hackathons an industry eventsLead software development for plug-ins and utilities with software development teamPartner with Design Synergies and design-practitioners throughout the firmYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in AEC/O spaceStrong command of the Design Delivery process to fabrication / constructionDocumented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design  Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project deliveryArticulate communicator with strong storytelling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative cultureEntrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks new engagement opportunitiesStrong interpersonal shifts with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teamsExpert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice and development for Autodesk, Revit, Rhino, Sketch-up and NavisworksExpert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, Panzura collaboration, AEC cloud-based products (BIM 360 Design, Docs, Coordinate and Build as well as New Forma)Familiarity with Performance Design applications and analysis tools such as Insight 360, FenestraPro, Ladybug, etc.Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teamsHighly desired understanding of and experience in computation/generative design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, etcHighly desired interoperability integration with visualization pipeline and VR/AR hardware and software including VRay, 3DS Max and EnscapeReliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrityAbility to exercise judgement and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demandsLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
