Our culture is a product of the combined mindsets and behaviours of our people.We have an exciting opportunity for a design orientated Architect who has a specialism in either healthcare or defence, who is a passionate and driven individual to join our creative and friendly team in Bristol.The RoleYou will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties.The post has excellent opportunities for career enhancement.Your Skills and Experience ARB registered Architect with no less than 3 years post qualification experience We require an Architect who has a specialism in healthcare or defence Already utilising Revit on a daily basis is preferable Job runner Proven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion Key ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the key responsibilities set out below, if your specialism is:HealthcareYou will lead our growing healthcare sector projects in the South West and into Wales, with a high level of understanding of necessary standards.DefenceYou will lead large defence sector projects, with a high level of understanding of necessary standards and JSP scales. Building design Contract administration Some financial management of projects Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists Attend site regularly to monitor progress Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM) Carry out regular design reviews Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists Manage a project team Prepare detailed design drawings Take a brief and develop into a concept design Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA procedures Able to work with minimum supervision Able to prepare working drawings and schedules and prepare specifications Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally Experience managing small to medium and medium to large projects throughout their lifecycle High level working knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law Innovative approach to design, high level of visualisation skills and an awareness of design style What we offer youSalary: Competitive salary based on experienceWorking Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid Working)25 days holiday plus public holidays, increasing with serviceSupport with career progression and educationPaid professional membershipsBUPA Health Cash PlanLife Assurance schemeDiscretionary bonus schemePerk Box discount platformOur full benefits package can be seen on the AHR careers site.This is a great opportunity to join our highly creative and ambitious team in a great studio close to transport links.
