Senior Architect - Associate Designate - Bristol Full Time / Permanent (Hybrid Working) AHR is a multi-award winning architecture and building consultancy practice. We have an exciting opportunity for a design orientated architect who has a specialism in either healthcare or defence, who is a passionate and driven individual to join our creative and friendly team in Bristol. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of associated projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties. Attributes Registered Architect with no less than 3 years post ARB experienceAn Architect who has a specialism in healthcare or defenceAlready utilising Revit on a daily basis is preferableJob RunnerProven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completionAble to work from BristolKey Responsibilities and SkillsIn addition to the key responsibilities and skills set out below if your specialism is:HealthcareYou will lead our growing healthcare sector projects in the south west and into wales, with a high level of understanding of necessary standards.Defence You will lead large defence sector projects, with a high level of understanding of necessary standards and JSP scalesBuilding designContract administrationSome financial management of projectsAttend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialistsAttend site regularly to monitor progressCarry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)Carry out regular Design ReviewsCo-ordinate with other consultants/specialistsManage a project teamPrepare detailed design drawingsTake a brief and develop into a concept designTroubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA proceduresAble to work with minimum supervisionAble to prepare working drawings and schedules and prepare specificationsAble to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externallyExperience managing small to medium to medium to large projects throughout their lifecycleHigh level working knowledge of UK construction and building lawInnovative approach to design, high level of visualisation skills and an awareness of design style We Offer A competitive salary depending on level of post qualification experience.
