Senior Graphic Designer ZGF Architects is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our team in our New York City office. A successful candidate is self-motivated, curious, and brings an appetite to consistently “raise the bar.” The current compensation range for this role is $94.000 to $115.000 annually, dependent on education and experience.As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will...Lead and manage design projects for marketing collateral, corporate identity systems, print and digital media, environmental graphics programs and consumer experience environmentsResponsible for the planning, management, and delivery of projects from concept through   completionWork as project lead with other designers on multi-component marketing and environmental graphics projectsResearch technology / production techniques as necessaryEnsure quality control through approval of proofs, press checks, and testing of technology and materials before deploymentInterpret client requirements to creatively design customized work and graphicsMake design decisions based on client feedback, branding guidelines, and overall visionMentor other designersDevelop, design, and creatively solve complex design challenges for print, presentation, and webUpdate design knowledge by participating in educational and professional opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizationsQualificationsMinimum of bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related design, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experienceBackground in the architectural field or environmental design is a plusStrong communication skills, time management, project management, attention to detail, leadership skillsExpertise in graphic tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop); PowerPoint is a must; working knowledge of database programs Axomic OpenAsset is a plusAbility to execute complex projects and    deadlinesAbility to lead and manage design efforts with minimal oversightExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to take multiple, occasionally disparate ideas, and distill them in to a clear and compelling   graphicsExcellent storytelling skillsAn approach based on deep   researchExperience in coordinating with vendorsWork with multidisciplinary teams to provide art direction and technology guidanceProficiency in review of design details, such as typography, alignment, hierarchy, etc.Ability to create or refresh brands and   identitiesAbility to work quickly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; respond to and prioritize demands; be responsive to the time-critical nature of marketing, proposals, and interviewsPrior work in environmental graphic design and wayfindingExpertise in evolving technologies and software, printing techniques, color correctionConsistent pursuit of innovation in order to raise the barAble to travel to other ZGF offices and/or client project locations as neededApply With:Cover letterResumePortfolio**Portfolios to be submitted for all design positions (Architecture, Interiors, Planning, Graphic Design, etc.).
