We are currently seeking a Sr Design Professional to join our team. As a Sr Design Professional, you are responsible for coordinating and/or undertaking the design development, production and delivery of projects, as a member of the project design team or on your own projects. Assignments require independent action and decision making as well as the ability to supervise others.
With preliminary direction from the project architect or project manager, you will analyze and develop approaches to the creation and modification of architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc., ensuring the incorporation of design intent. With direction from the project designer or more senior design technician, you will develop, modify, and/or review drawings according to established standards.
You will develop strong presentations and early design studies, prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings, and build models for client/project team review. You will understand and translate design intent into technical documents and may lead a small team of more junior technicians in developing solutions to technical and design detail problems following established standards.
Your responsibilities will also include assisting in client, consultant, and contractor project information coordination, ensuring that documentation for all phases conforms to QA/QC and HOK Best Practice Standards, and applying proper QA/QC methods throughout the project. You will conduct product and code research and incorporate codes into technical documents.
Additionally, you will mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff, participate in professional development reviews, and may have regular interface with clients and consultants. You may assist in work planning and scheduling processes, prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings, and assist the team in construction administration document management.
You will assure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately, participate in setting up project team software parameters, and manage standards. Facilitating internal and external communications and tracking all project data in electronic files will also be part of your role. You will incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects and take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. The reasonably expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000.
