Sr Field Representative (Sacramento, CA)

We are currently seeking a Sr Field Representative to join our team. As a Sr Field Representative, you will be responsible for providing leadership in Construction Administration/Project Management on-site for large projects. You will ensure that required information is transmitted to the construction team and monitor the quality of work in the field for compliance with contract documents.
Leadership
- Maintain excellent relationship with client through construction.
- Supervise and mentor on-site HOK team, organize work flow, oversee schedule, work plan, and budget.
- Oversee project procedures, problem-solving activities, budget reviews, and certification needed.
- Manage project procedures, problem-solving activities, budget reviews, and certification needed.
- Initiate document revisions and project reviews.
- Apply proper QA/QC methods throughout the project.
- Ensure documentation using HOK Policies and Procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
- Must be highly organized; possess excellent communication skills, meet deadlines, and keep things moving on schedules.
- Foster a culture of external and internal client service.
Teamwork
- Observe daily work progress and make regular site visits to observe construction progress for conformance to documents and quality of workmanship.
- Prepare meeting notes, memos, and letters when needed.
- Attend meetings with Client and Contractor and be HOK’s representative.
- Produce reports, field progress reports when needed.
- Review contractor schedule using Primavera software to estimate construction costs and develop and define project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Process and may negotiate change orders with contractor for Owner approval only when all parties agree that there exists a material change in the contract documents.
- Receive and distribute test reports.
- Prepare punch-list and close-out procedures.
- Perform post-construction services and investigations as needed.
- Review monthly updates to ensure timely completion and suitable manpower requirements on the project.
- Review contractor provided schedule of values and review monthly pay requests to verify percentage of completion before Owner pays the monthly request.
- Review contractor supplied submittal schedule for completeness and ability to properly staff architectural team to review in contractually allocated time.
- Respond to RFIs, Submittals, and provide communication to contractor and consultants when needed.
- Work with Project Architect to ensure that Requests for Information are responded to within the agreed upon time frames using HOK standards for document management and control.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of architectural building systems and experience in construction.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting heavy drawings, walking construction site.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering or equivalent in education or experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years’ experience with demonstrated construction administration experience on large-scale buildings preferred.
- Licensed Architect or Engineer with current registration in your region preferred, if licensure is offered in your region.
- NCARB registration preferred if registered Architect.
- LEED credential required within 6 months of employment.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. The reasonably expected annual salary range for this position is $175,000 to $190,000.
