John McAslan + Partners is an international architectural practice working in a variety of sectors from their UK and Sydney offices. This is an opportunity for you to develop a career in business support, take on additional responsibilities, and grow with the company. You will provide direct support to the Managing Director, and the Senior Management Team. The role: · Providing on-site PA support to the senior management team. · Assisting in diary management and meeting coordination. · Assisting with booking staff travel. · Assisting the management of a number of email inboxes. · Providing basic cover when the Chairman’s EA is on leave. · Helping to manage the practice’s contacts database. · Various PR & marketing tasks. · Assistance with new business development project research. · Assistance with general office administrative tasks · Booking of couriers and helping with post. · Organising refreshments for visitors, including the occasional breakfast and lunch for meetings when required in the London office. Minimum Qualifications & Skills · Minimum 5 GCSE’s (Grade 5 and above) with Maths and English · Proficiency in Microsoft Office · Other relevant qualifications may be an advantage About you: You will have an excellent standard of oral and written English. You will need to have a great eye for detail and a team-working attitude. Previous experience working within a design, creative or construction practice would be preferred but is not essential, though a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional organisation is a requirement. Proficiency in MS Office is a necessity, and basic knowledge of Adobe packages such as InDesign would be advantageous. In addition, you will be: · A strong team player with the confidence to work independently and with senior managers. · Able to develop and build good relationships with colleagues, clients, consultants and suppliers. · Attentive to detail and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy in all your work. · Friendly and approachable, with a willingness to assist wherever needed. · A good timekeeper and motivated self-starter, able to cope with the pressure of deadlines. · Discreet and aware of the requirements for confidentiality.
