This unique position combines a direct involvement in prestigious projects in the region with a more strategic role where you will determine the roadmap for advancement of our regional digital design in partnership with the regional Design Technology leadership. We are seeking experienced design professionals with a deep knowledge of the entire design and construction process, as well as a curiosity for innovation.Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director and the Studio Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process innovation, optimization and digital workflows / platforms creation and implementation in partnership with your fellow studio members and in collaboration with the Regional Design Technology Team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.What You Will DoIntegrate Design Technology workflows, tools, and applied practices with project teamsConduct research and development for new applications of Design TechnologyModel Management and additional analytics on design practicesDevelopment of pipeline for interoperability of BIM and other Design Technology toolsDigital content management. Partner with project teams to establish project specific digital content strategies and protocolsOversight and management of support and trainingOversight of the development of BEPs and other project related model documentation/scope of workLead implementation of visualization processes in projects, with the partnership of the regional design technologyIntegrate visual thinking and visual storytelling as part of the design processDevelop and strengthen relationships with office and studio leaders by improving communication and integration of Design Technology throughout the duration of projectsYour QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industryExpert knowledge of Autodesk Revit ArchitectureDemonstrate knowledge of visualization applications such as Enscape (for Revit), V-Ray, 3DS Max, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, etc.Rhino Modelling and Visual programming (Grasshopper/Dynamo) and/or object-oriented programming is preferred5+ years of experience in a BIM/digital design role throughout of all phases of design and deliveryArticulate communicator, able to convey design technology concepts to all levels of design and delivery leadershipPunctual, able to adhere to deadlines, and have a strong work ethicCreative thinker dedicated to problem solving, research, and innovationLife at GenslerWe encourage every person at Gensler to lead a healthy and balanced life.
