You will be successful in translating sketches and documents into realized 3D models and working drawings and you can research technical issues when they arise. You have exceptional design skills, a background in architecture or design, and a portfolio of innovative design concepts. You display innovative thinking balanced with an ability to present real-world technical solutions to new design challenges. Your work ethic, combined with your commitment to collaboration, makes Gensler the perfect place to nurture your career in the design of world-class Mixed-Use, Retail, and Urban Design projects.What You Will DoCollaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver informed project solutions based on market expertise and an understanding of client goalsDesign places where people want to be, help enrich our communities and contribute to our clients’ successIllustrate and present design solutions effectively through free hand sketching and computer aided design to convey intended vision to our clients including architectural design solutionsCoordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultantsResolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutionsResponsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical qualityProcess submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIsInterface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the projectActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectReview and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Design ManagerEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationshipsYour QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program5+ years of professional experience inclusive of Mixed-Use, Retail, or Urban DesignBi-lingual in English/Spanish preferredExperience on foreign projectsStrong proficiency with Revit, BIM360, Enscape, and AutoCAD Exceptional design talent and technical knowledge teamed with a passion for seeking innovative and creative design solutions for ever challenging design propositionsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUpKnowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software, including Grasshopper, a plusTO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT A CURRENT PORTFOLIO AND/OR WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMAT*This is not a remote position.
