**Your Opportunity**
The BIM Technician is responsible to gather information needed to configure, coordinate, set up and maintain projects and related deliverables for project teams. The BIM Technician will oversee project setup, train staff, enforce Stantec graphic standards, and help the enhancement of CAD/BIM processes.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Follows and helps maintain Stantec CAD/BIM standards and procedures and helps the project team troubleshoot CAD/BIM issues.
+ Administers QA/QC checklist on project drawings.
+ Ensures the required project files and issuance records are successfully completed.
+ Keeps the project manager, project team, and stakeholders informed of project progress and issues that could impact project deadlines.
+ Communicates ideas to improve internal processes.
+ Sets up projects for the engineering team based on Stantec/client standards.
+ Sends project assignments to production partners and attends project meetings as required.
+ Assists with project mark-ups and MEP production as needed.
+ Prepares sets and bi-weekly TSS reports to ensure QA/QC compliance.
+ Prepares project deliverables for issuance.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Possesses experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
+ Understands MEP basic processes and AEC industry standards.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
+ Maintains strong organization, time management, and detail-orientation skills to manage multiple priorities with accuracy to drive tasks to completion.
+ Possesses experience working independently and in a collaborative team environment.
+ Demonstrates excellent analytical, problem resolution, and troubleshooting skills.
+ Exhibits strong communication skills to confidently interact with clients, vendors and co-workers.
+ Maintains a positive, self-motivated attitude and work ethic.
+ Able to adapt quickly to new technologies.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree in AEC related field (preferred) or an Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant Architecture/Engineering experience
+ Minimum of 1 year of BIM production experience in Architecture/Engineering (required)
+ Autodesk Certified Professional (preferred)
+ Working experience in AE field (preferred)
