This may range from appreciation and recognition to special events to learning programs to afterhours client/team gatherings.Develop a strong connection with the Office Experience team to create and maintain a professional environment where people are happy to come to work every day and enjoy their workspace – one that proudly encompasses and accommodates ALL that we do.Have an educated point-of-view when working with teams to improve or develop and implement strategies.Deliver engaging written and verbal communications with decorum always.And last, but not least, you are innovative and can inspire participation!Employee ExperienceDevelop and own programming in support of our office culture, including curation of services, presentations, and other events to create a destination for employees. Mentor and train Receptionist and Office Experience Coordinator, curating a welcoming environment that supports our people in doing their best work.Collaborate with office leaders to coordinate a well-rounded office events calendar of social, intellectual, educational, and inclusive reasons to come together. Partner with HR and IT team members to facilitate new hire engagement during onboarding and serve as a resource for new team members, guiding them to resources to support their start in the New York office.Advise Studios on engagement activities and events.Act as a hospitality ambassador for the office with an integral role in daily business and key client interactions.Additional responsibilities as needed.Event/Meeting PlanningCollaborate with teams to ensure best meeting experience for employees, clients, and guests. Ownership of all external and internal events such as Attitude Adjustments, Fireside Chats, Town Halls, Leadership engagement activities, guest speakers, and DE&I meetings, Appointments and Bonus Day.Source external meeting and event space, catering and entertainment including managing event budgets, and all vendor contracts.Coordinate with Catering team to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for our external and internal clients, with special touch points that exude world class service.Primary advisor, point of contact, and oversight of high-level onsite client events and meetings: budget, registrations, catering and setup.Point of contact for office events calendar; managing and maintaining.Collaborate with Office Leadership to create employee experience strategies and events and implement unique and rotating programs. This may range from appreciation and recognition to special events and learning programs.Develop a strong connection with Studio Coordinators across events, calendars, and campaigns to ensure a consistent approach in the office. Establish a People and hospitality-led blueprint that each studio can use to enhance their team’s workplace experience and engagement.Additional responsibilities as needed.Your Qualifications8-10 years of experience in a professional firm responsible for employee experience, corporate services, or event planning.Experience as a direct manager of team members.Experience owning large-scale events.Strong facilitation, team and relationship building and problem-solving skills.A demonstrated ability to partner with internal and external clients to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and identify and implement efforts to help achieve goals.High attention to detail through proofing, follow through and scheduling.Strong communication skills both verbally and written.Ability to confidently and comfortably interact with all levels and demonstrate influence to sway strategies and decisions.Excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for design and ability to prioritize multiple workstreams while maintaining a positive outlook.**The base salary range will be estimated between $88 - 100k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.Life at Gensler At Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
