Overview:
At Zaha Hadid Architects, we are seeking to hire Architects / Designers on a fixed-term contract to join our growing team in London. In this role you will be closely working with the Lead Architect/Designer to create excellent-quality design in line with the ethos and integrity of the ZHA brand. You will be able to run part of a project through most work stages, under the expert guidance of senior colleagues.
Main responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of material palettes, FFE (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment), and current interior design trends.
- Expertise in preparing and delivering tender packages, interior detailing, and outline specifications.
- Complete assigned work per professional and company standards.
- Take briefs in-house and respond effectively by using initiative to analyze options, prioritize alternatives, and refer as necessary to keep the work on track.
- Project-manage and coordinate with consultants, fabricators, and contractors to ensure the accurate and timely execution of the interior design to completion.
- Demonstrate agility in managing different project stages simultaneously.
- Deliver assigned work according to project deadlines
- Maintain excellent working relationships through clear and appropriate internal and external communication.
- Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Arabic or Mandarin is a plus.
Skills Required
- Proficiency in 2D/3D software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Rhino, MAYA, Grasshopper, InDesign, Excel, etc.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field (an Interior Design concentration within an Architecture Postgraduate or Master's program may also be considered).
- At least 6 years of relevant experience with reputable design firms.
