This role could be based in either location and we support hybrid working with a combination of office and home based working available. We have a number of exciting projects in education, healthcare and residential, which has opened up an opportunity for a Revit proficient Senior Architectural Technologist. With a proven track record as a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will have sound knowledge of construction and detailing. Your structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making will complement your ability to work with minimum supervision as a collaborative team member. Attributes CIAT or RIBA Registered At least five years post-qualification experienceDemonstrable experience in leading the delivery of production packagesProficient in Revit with at least three years’ continual use in practice as the primary design/ delivery toolGood knowledge of construction and building lawConfident and enthusiastic Key Responsibilities and SkillsBe an effective team member. Share your professional skills, knowledge and experience with other team members so as to ensure best outcomes for the projectSupport and mentor junior staff, including apprentices and Part I / Part II studentsTake receipt of a brief and develop it into a design without interventionContribute to and help co-ordinate the development of AHR's Pre-Construction Information in line with the RIBA Plan of Work and AHR's Deliverables and DRMAchieve efficient and effective construction detailing using robust and sustainable design solutions.Prepare compliant designs by following UK Construction Law, British Standards and relevant CoPsChoose or advise on material selection. Respect the limited availability of natural resources when making design decisions. Take into account design life and durabilityAuthor bespoke specifications in NBS Chorus. Evidence supporting technical data in project foldersAssist the Project Team with designing to a budget.
