AECOM The Hague is currently looking for a Deputy Project Director to deliver commercial development projects and support with business development activities.
The Deputy Project Director manages the project being the prime contact focus for the Client. The role will require strategic thinking and liaison with the Cost Management team and the wider AECOM.
You will be considered as a key person within the Project Management business line and involved in AECOM Benelux and France initiative including mentoring, business development and recruitment activities. Within this role you lead the project team and assure the client’s brief is delivered with high quality standard.
Furthermore you lead and focus of all engagement and communication, both written and verbal and support the management of contractual, commercial and legal aspects of the AECOM contract.
You also oversee the project cost monitoring and control led by the Commercial Manager, as well as review the assessment of project costs trends proposing corrective actions. You propose Value engineering solutions and chair regular progress meetings.
Further key tasks include;
+ Managing and producing the Client Monthly Progress Report
+ Supporting the Projects Director with the AECOM commercial update through AECOM's internal Project Management system portal.
+ Supporting the Projects Director with client interface and reporting.
+ Promoting and driving the HSE culture amongst all staff, client, contractors and supply chain.
+ Attending regular safety meetings, ensuring messages are conveyed to the operational staff, managing the safety messages into the projects and audit to give confidence that the safety is being implemented in accordance with client and AECOM HSE processes. Feedback safety learning’s into the Safety Manager to providing continuous learning for the whole team.
In terms of Business Development you support with marketing initiatives and develop long-term business relationships.
You represent AECOM with potential clients, government agencies, potential and current partners and competitors. Furthermore you support other AECOM Business Lines in or outside the Benelux. and advise on any trends and developments in the construction market (Benelux area).
+ Master’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering or Architecture from a Dutch university.
+ Multiple years’ experience in a Project or Construction Management role with a project management consultancy or real estate developer.
+ Existing network with clients in the commercial real estate sector.
+ Experience in commercial projects.
+ Fluent in Dutch and English.
+ Experience in delivering Technical Due Diligence preferred
+ RICS accreditation is preferred
