Currently AECOM Netherlands is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of Engineering, Construction and Procurement (EPCM) programmes, which include electric vehicle infra, retail and hydrogen projects.
The AECOM team in the Netherlands consists of approximately 110 employees and operates from our headquarters in The Hague and from multiple site hubs throughout the country. Representative services include Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, HSE and Environmental Services.
Within the role of Quantity Surveyor you act as the construction cost specialist and support the Commercial Manager with the project cost estimation, control, evaluation included benchmarking.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
+ Cost estimation for construction CAPEX projects
+ Cost reviews and assessment of project costs trends, corrective actions
+ Identification of value engineering
+ Value / Cost advice, Variations process coordination
+ Client’s changes evaluationChair and attend regular Cost meetings
+ Assist in production of periodical Benchmarking / Cost Reports
+ Assist in evaluating procurement process
+ Create a data base of cost estimate vs as built costsPost-Contract
+ Assist with reviewing / approving proposed tender lists, PQQ for suppliers/subcontractors/sub-consultants
+ Analysis of commercial valuations
+ Manage BOQ production
+ Monitor / Review Cash Flow forecasts with contractor / supply chain
+ Commenting on and evaluating the Final Account Submissions from the Main Contractor and Sub-Contractors
+ Carrying out audits on Sub-contractors and suppliers as and when required.
+ Assist with the Preparation of the Project Budget - Global Construction Cost breakdown
+ Assist with maintaining the Cash Flow Forecast
+ Assist in maintaining a list of competitive Sub-Contractor’s and Suppliers
+ Produce regular Benchmarking reports related to Sub-contractors and suppliers
+ Produce regular Benchmarking reports related to Client’s competitors
+ Assist with the Preparation of the audit reports where required
As a Quantity Surveyor your prime role is to support the project with the description above. As the Cost Management Business grows in the Netherlands there is a long-term opportunity to help develop multidisciplinary projects across Belgium, Netherlands, France and Luxembourg.
+ Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant disciplines
+ Dutch market knowledge
+ Fluent in Dutch and English
+ Experience of working on a similar position for a minimum 5 years
+ Experience in estimation for construction and process technology projects
+ Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment
+ Ability to work as a team
+ Customer focus (both internal and external)
+ Advanced PC user (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Express, MS Project, Internet).
+ RICS qualification is an added value
