Schematic design provides designers a great opportunity to optimize project climate footprint. Learn how to calculate and optimize the embodied carbon from your project in schematic design phase in a few moments with Carbon Designer. Learn how to reduce carbon by effectively using the site, building geometry and design parameters, and choosing the best structures and materials for the project. Carbon Designer requires only minimal inputs to allow starting working with the project, and allows importing areas from design software packages. It also supports renovation projects.
Carbon Designer supports early phase design for 13 different building types and has seven global regional building typologies for generating a baseline building. It works seamlessly with LEED, BREEAM and other common green building certifications as well as international standards.
One Click LCA Revit add-on allows getting feedback on your project’s embodied carbon in real time. You can see how changes to structures and materials impact the project’s carbon performance updated automatically. The add-on connects to One Click LCA’s vast materials database, allowing you to choose from over 10 000 global material LCA profiles the ones relevant to your project. The plug-in also allows exporting the model quantities to the cloud. This allows a range of additional powerful use cases, including creation of options without model changes, including data not in the Revit model to the LCA, or completing and reporting the LCA online, for example for LEED, BREEAM or other certifications. The plug-in can also be used without a license to send data to others with Send Me Data feature. Available for all Autodesk Revit© versions from 2016 upwards.
