The Interior Design Lead is a key member of our British Columbia Sector and Discipline Leadership team, responsible for the Interior Design Studio within the broader architecture and engineering practice. **Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Co-lead the interiors team with individual responsibilities in projects and business development
+ Grow the practice in terms of project backlog, client diversification, revenue generation and staff capability.
+ Deliver creative, high quality, fiscally responsible project solutions based on best practices and meeting client goals
+ Develop relationships with clients and industry leaders
+ Act as company representative at client and industry functions, conferences, and seminars
+ Recruit, retain and attract great staff
+ Effectively lead, challenge, and inspire staff to work together cohesively as a team
+ Provide design direction and mentorship of team
+ Collaborate with sector leads to deliver truly integrated project solutions and strengthen/broaden the interiors team experience base
+ Collaborate on the creation of proposal submissions. Solicit and manage input from others to create an integrated solutions proposal
+ Liaise with Stantec Interior Design Groups across region/sector and opportunities
+ Participate in strategic business development for the Interior group.
+ Work with marketing team to enrich our marketing materials and exposure
+ Contribute towards the development of goals, strategies, and client focused culture of the practice
+ Be an active member in local or national industry associations

+ Proven ability to steward client relationships; identify, develop, and negotiate regional, national accounts and contribute to strategies that enhance existing accounts; and be versatile enough to bring ‘work on the street’ to the team through industry networking
+ Commitment to excellence and high standard of internal and external communication and brand representation
+ Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.
+ Proven ability to engage colleagues and communicate the needs of the client to bring the right strategic solution to project.
+ Able to communicate complex design concepts to clients
+ Strong presentation skills, able to story tell and sell the concept
+ Able to collaborate with the management team in the development of goals and marketing strategies for the commercial group.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities and meet deadlines.
+ Demonstrated experience in a variety of sectors is desirable; commercial, workplace, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, aviation, education, healthcare.
+ Understanding of industry software required in project delivery; REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, PowerPoint, Bluebeam
+ Engaging and collaborative nature & passionate about design
+ Strong leadership qualities and a calm demeanor
+ Enjoy people and the opportunity to engage and inspire
+ Are creative, strategic, and organized. Able to create a game plan, delegate and execute
+ Articulate and a good facilitator
**Education and Experience**
Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or other relevant course of study. 15 years of experience including business development responsibilities. Member of IDIBC, or other industry association.
