Our Vancouver, BC office has an immediate opportunity for an Intermediate/Senior Technologist working in a busy architectural /interior design practice on diverse and interesting assignments including commercial, retail, and other project types. Working closely with the design team, you will be integral in the development of construction documentation packages, details, and specifications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
+ Collaborate on interiors projects, to set up drawing packages.
+ Development of full construction document packages for projects; including review of shop drawings for compliance with contract documents
+ Coordination and review with consultant teams such as code, architects and mechanical, electrical, and structural Engineers, kitchen consultants, and contractors
+ Work with the Designers to ensure efficient completion of deliverables
+ Translate designer’s hand sketches into architectural details
+ Develop construction details and complete project and millwork drawings
+ Support technical tools used by the Interior Design team, including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-up and BlueBeam
+ Multi-tasking on several concurrent projects
+ Focused ability to follow through, deliver results and meet deadlines
+ Highly motivate, detailed oriented and dependable, taking ownership of assigned tasks
**Qualifications**
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
+ Revit proficiency is an asset; experience with other design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp are also beneficial
+ Retail and/or F&B project experience is an asset
+ Highly effective communication skills and relationship management skills in your dealings with the design team, clients, and contractors
+ Good problem solving and multi-tasking ability
+ Independent, proactive, and collaborative
+ Career driven and open to growth potential into senior project leadership
Education and Experience
+ Architectural/Interiors Technologist (or equivalent), with a focus on technical production work
+ 5 years related interior design and construction documentation experience.
+ Experience in leading a small team of people is an asset
