Our Engineering team is looking to expand due to our ongoing growth within the Energy and Resources sector. Our Energy and Resources business works across multiple sectors including Energy from Waste, Plastic Recycling, Waterpower and Dams, Transmission and Distribution and Minerals and Resources. Current and recent high-profile projects include Dunbar ERF, Polymers 2 for Viridor and Coire Glas Pumped Hydro for SSE.
From traditional advisory, design and owners engineer roles we are now rapidly becoming established in the EPCm and design services role for major new build projects. We are involved in all stages of the project life cycle from concept development and FEED through detailed design and procurement to construction and commissioning.
As a Civil Engineer, your role is a key part in the technical delivery of projects at all stages this may be initial concept design/outline design / detailed design/procurement processes/construction support. You will be responsible for the coordination of internal design teams and specialists along with external stakeholders who you will work closely with.
You will be given the opportunity to work alongside other technical teams and you may be involved in the preparation of project bids, planning, working to stringent timescales and adhering to budgets. As well as this, working closely with the client on and off-site will be required to ensure project delivery is assured.

**About you**
To be considered for this opportunity you must be degree qualified and hold or be working towards an appropriate Chartership qualification such as ICE.
You will be focused on achieving coordinated solutions, a tactical thinker and effective at communicating with both internal and external parties (for example utility companies, drainage authorities, and highway authorities).
You will have a proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across technical disciplines and experience in mentoring and managing the workload of other teams Ideally you will have design experience within the Energy from Waste, Waterpower and Dams and transmission and distribution sectors. An understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D would be an advantage but not essential as drawing work is done by the CAD teams.
