**Your Opportunity**
We strive for design excellence and total integration among all design disciplines. As healthcare interior project manager, you will have a unique opportunity to help create a collaboratively creative environment and to manage projects independently and lead project teams through all phases of programming, design, and construction as well as develop design proposals, develop and manage integrated work plans, and manage project financials. You will interpret and translate the needs and desires of the client as well as any architectural direction set forth into cohesive interior design solution. This process may involve production of drawings (2D/3D), and written material to support the conceptual direction of interior design, FFE and signage. This individual will be required to present their ideas in formal and informal settings with a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback.
An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry. The Healthcare Interior Design Project Manager is expected to work collaboratively with the architectural team conceptualizing, developing, and documenting varying aspects of interior design of a project, including but not limited to space planning, interior architecture, interior materials and palette, specifications, FFE and signage/wayfinding.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Advocate for integrated design excellence to the highest possible level.
+ Assure that the Design Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented by the team
+ Promote the firm’s vision to strengthen resiliency of community and preserve sustainability of our planet.
+ Responsible for managing multiple small projects or one of medium complexity/size by overseeing various administrative aspects of the projects, including but not limited to: coordinating client and consultant contract negotiations, project set-up, invoicing, project planning, project staff scheduling.
+ Responsible for project success and profitability
+ Strong client management skills and internal team managerial skills
+ Strong communication skills including excellent presentation abilities, including ability to present abstract ideas to the client.
+ Inspires creativity, critical thought, and design excellence both internally and externally.
+ Conceptualizes and develops interior design from both a functional and aesthetic perspective in concert with a client’s requirements, budget, and program.
+ Participates in the development of the program, vision, and other pre-design efforts.
+ Participates in the development of space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams in coordination with project program.
+ Develops the interior design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats to express the design intent and coordinate with Project Designer.
+ Understands and utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of interiors and their components.
+ Responsible for leading others in a project team setting and design critiques and pin-ups.
+ Presents the interior design to stakeholders.
+ Ensures design complies with building codes, ADA guidelines and LEED per project type and requirements.
+ Oversees, develop, and produce schematic design, design development and construction documents.
+ Works with design consultants (internal/external) to coordinate drawings sets.
+ Submission to HCAI or AHJ to acquire building permits.
+ Construction administration to support the scope of work.
+ Evaluates and selects interior systems and materials, finishes and fixtures.
+ Coordinates project systems to ensure compatibility with the design intent and implements sustainable design principles.
+ Oversee and lead project team in developing interior design in accordance with cost parameters and ensures interior design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.
+ Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
+ Oversees the completion of FFE scope tasks from design and selection through bid, coordinating with specific client and project needs.
+ Adherence to Stantec’s required QA/QC process, including design reviews
+ Adherence to Stantec’s required internal and external project auditing process
+ Mentors less-senior Interior Design staff
+ Participates in employee performance reviews and interviews of potential employees.
+ Demonstrates a commitment to the profession and the firm by participating in a professional organization.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Thorough knowledge and application of accessibility codes and applicable building codes.
+ Thorough understanding of all phases of architectural document production through construction administration and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
+ Ability to lead multiple small projects and multiple teams simultaneously
+ Ability to create project plans and schedules
+ Accountability to project profitability
+ Demonstrates effective communication skills (verbal and written)
+ Management of team deliverables with client expectations and requirements
+ Ability to conduct space planning, block planning, and adjacencies in coordination with building program.
+ Ability to develop floor plans, elevations, and details.
+ Ability to check teams work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
+ Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of document production.
+ Ability to engage in creative and critical thought
+ Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written)
+ Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with Abobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Newforma, Bluebeam.
+ Must have good driving record with valid driver’s license.
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field & Licensed Interior Designer.
+ Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Healthcare Interior Design
+ Minimum of 3 year of previous Project Management experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience. LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.

• $81000 - $101,200 (CA, CO locations only)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
