**Your Opportunity**

You will be working for a top 10 global design firm in Commercial and Industrial Buildings practice that provides Architecture, Buildings Engineering, and Interior Design services with a long history and deep commitment to the commercial sector. We strive for design excellence and total integration among all design disciplines. As project manager of a of a multi-discipline team, you will have a unique opportunity to create a collaboratively creative environment for the team, be the main contact for the client and to assist clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible, cutting-edge designs. You will help the team to excel in both design solutions and in project delivery, while applying Stantec Design Framework and Project Management Framework. You will lead the development of integrated design proposals, develop, and manage integrated work plans, manage project financials, and coordinate with clients, while leading and mentoring others and collaborating with team members to contribute to the final deliverables as required under instruction from the Project Leader.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Advocate for integrated design excellence to the highest possible level.

+ Assure that the Design Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented by the team

+ Promote the firm’s vision to strengthen resiliency of community and preserve sustainability of our planet.

+ Develop new and nurture existing client relationships

+ Participate business development and marketing effort to bring in work for the firm

+ Assist in the negotiation and development of project agreements.

+ Responsible for managing complex tasks commercial and S&T projects of varying sizes

+ Plan, organize, and direct the work throughout the life of the project to successfully deliver the project to the client.

+ Keep the Principal in Charge informed of progress on project expectations, deadlines, and deliverables and understand the limits of the decision-making responsibilities of the role and respect the boundaries of the Principal in Charge’s responsibilities.

+ Lead the client and project team to assure that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.

+ Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance.

+ Mentor Assistant Project Managers and motivate project teams.

+ Assure that Project Management Framework tasks are timely completed and properly documented.

+ Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.

+ Lead and manage projects from commencement, through design and CA phases, to project close-out.

+ Work with Operations Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel.

+ Directs client invoicing and effectively manages collections.

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**

+ Capable of simultaneously supporting one or more projects with different Principals in Charge.

+ Thorough understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards.

+ Able to give team directions and proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued instruction.

+ Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

+ Is a team player with the client, entire project team and contractor.

+ Is an Effective negotiator and communicator.

+ Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp preferred.

**Education and Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field

+ License required (any state)

+ Must have minimum of 10 years of experience with commercial buildings. S&T experience preferred.

+ LEED AP a plus

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
