**Your Opportunity**
Stantec's Architectural, Engineering and Interior Design team is looking for a BIM Technician. With direction from multiple Project Managers, Architects and Engineers, you will create and organize standard document content, and support the preparation of projects, plans, drawings, details, and specifications in accordance with
Stantec standards, client standards, specifications, and building codes.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Skillfully work in Autodesk Revit, including setting up and maintaining multiple models, creating/maintaining views and view templates, maintaining file structures, and using advanced collaboration features of the applications.
+ Work with our global Digital Practice Team to implement Stantec design and documentation standards on all projects.
+ Add insight and make recommendations to add efficiencies and value to BIM and CAD production.
+ Assist other staff with Revit issues and mentor design staff in Design Technology systems use.
+ Publish, post, and manage drawing sets.
+ Create electronic data files in compliance with Stantec and client requirements.
+ Work with project managers, technical and design staff to prepare drawing documentation.
+ Convert redlines to document-ready work.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Strong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
+ Strong working knowledge of recent versions of Revit and how it is applied within the built environment.
+ Revit family creation and maintenance.
+ Skilled at clash detection in Revit. Clash detection skills with Navisworks is preferred.
+ Client-centric, can-do approach to project work and assignments.
+ Familiarity with methods of design to support the architectural/engineering field.
+ High level of initiative, with ability to synthesize new technologies, industry trends, and client needs to make recommendations and initiate changes that add efficiency and value.
+ Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple inputs and instructions to efficiently produce accurate deliverables.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Education and Experience**
+ Certificate from technical college and relevant experience with Revit.
+ Related experience in the architectural/engineering/contractor industry preferred.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
