**Your Opportunity**

Stantec is looking for a skilled Senior Engineer who will be able to apply electrical engineering principals to deliver complex projects that exceed our clients’ expectations as well as contribute to the technical mentorship of our developing professionals. The majority of the assigned projects will be focused on Higher Education, Science & Technology, Transit Electrification, and/or Mission Critical type facilities.

**Your Key Responsibilities**

+ Provide Electrical system design expertise, including well developed consulting and technical skills into each client interaction.

+ Applies technical and design production expertise while coordinating with cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established time frames and budgets.

+ Serves as a trainer, mentor, and resource to others.

+ Provides client consultation; drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of Stantec's services

+ Develops and delivers client presentations

+ Maintains current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills

+ Prepares or assists in the preparation of opinions of probable costs.

+ Effectively delegates work to production support staff.

+ Understands and works within project budgets and schedules to help project manager meet project financial and schedule goals.

+ Actively participates in meetings, initiatives, and projects that support Business Center and company goals

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**

+ PE registration is required

+ Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build projects is preferred

+ Experience in the construction industry and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes

+ Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines

+ Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards

+ Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and low voltage systems for the built environment.

+ Strong knowledge of Higher Education, Science & Technology, Transit, and/or Mission Critical market sectors including architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers operating within these markets is preferred.

+ Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects

+ Strong client communication and interpersonal skills - Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP

+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

+ Periodic travel may be required to meet engagement/client requirements - may include regional, national, or international based on the contracted requirements.

**Education and Experience**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus, or related field

+ Minimum 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ PE certification required

* $98,200.00 - $147,300.00 (WA location only)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
