Hayhurst and Co. is an acclaimed architectural studio based in London, founded in 2004 by Nick Hayhurst and Jonathan Nicholls.

With our extensive portfolio, we have garnered a reputation for crafting environments that are conscientious and sustainable, innovative and compassionate, and refined and delightful. Our focus lies in creating spaces that empower and nurture communities, and designs that ingeniously and pragmatically respond to the patterns of life and physical contexts. There is no predetermined "look" to our projects; each design is unique and tailored to meet the needs of the people it serves, the site it occupies, and the available resources.

We hold a keen interest in landscape and materiality, as well as the intersection of nature and domesticity, and we have explored these themes across projects of all scales. From designing a single window to the renovation of community spaces, from developing new school facilities to masterplanning sections of cities, we have delved into diverse realms.

Our work is characterized by collaboration with our clients, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from the public and private sectors, third sector organizations, and individuals. We have a remarkable track record of successfully delivering complex projects within budget and timeline constraints. We have experience with both traditional and design-and-build procurement routes, managing projects through all stages outlined by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). We have led design teams, served as Lead Consultants, and fulfilled the role of Contract Administrators, overseeing small bespoke endeavors as well as large-scale, multi-million pound, and multi-phase schemes.
