We've got a wonderful line up of pitches and pitchers:
Imogen Clark from Make Space for Girls will be asking us if we have you ever noticed that most of the teenagers you see in skateparks, BMX tracks and MUGAS(fenced parks) are boys? So why aren't our parks welcoming teenage girls? Why does it matter and how can we change this?
Holly Harrington from the LSA will be continuing our informal discussion series with her research on rejuvenation of high streets as a starting point of the 15 minute city. With no clear steer on 15 minute cities in London, but with many other linked initiatives underway, the High Street could still play a part vital role in contributing to positive local changes. Is there a solution to not only transform our High Streets but to also use them to enable positive aspects of the 15 minute city without a huge planning overhaul? Can we come up with innovative approaches to move beyond the economic challenges of the dwindling High Street?
Aude Vuilliomenet will take us through her PHD research which looks at the integration of the internet of things and deep learning to monitor to better maintain green urban spaces. Taking us through the most pressing factors in monitoring and advancing green infrastructure, Aude will be asking the room for input and ideas!
