**Your Opportunity**
In this role, you will apply buildings mechanical engineering principles and your strong client service and communications skills to deliver project excellence to the communities we live, work, and play in. You will collaborate with architects, civil, electrical, and structural engineers to closely coordinate design solutions and present these to our clients.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Applies strong mechanical engineering skills, experience and knowledge to the design and oversight of the design, for building projects.
+ Manages and plans the production resources and workflow to produce the design documentation, drawings, and calculations required for mechanical engineering projects.
+ Shares knowledge with others by serving as a mentor and a resource.
+ Meets technical, contractual, schedule, budgetary and client service objectives for each project.
+ May periodically act as QC reviewer on projects.
+ Nurtures existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.
+ Develops and delivers project related client presentations.
+ Maintains and expands current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.
+ Attends and leads in-house project meetings.
+ Actively participates and collaborates with our extended mechanical engineering group in Alaska and the US-West.
+ Applies buildings engineering and project management knowledge to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budgets.
**Qualifications**
**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
+ Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for facilities and built environments.
+ Familiarity with, clients, projects, fee, scope, and teams to achieve budget, schedule and deliverable objectives while meeting key stakeholder critical success factors.
+ Familiarity with, and ability to produce, project-related documents and documentation standards
+ Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines to deliver a coordinated design.
+ Familiarity with and ability to apply sustainable design principles.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with owners, other disciplines involved in the project, contractors, suppliers, etc.
+ Ability to apply logic, reasoning, and organizational skills to structure concepts and ideas into projects.
+ Experience using BIM software; in particular, Revit MEP.
+ Experience using AutoCAD software.
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards
**Education and Experience**
+ Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited curriculum in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
+ Minimum 10-years’ experience as a Mechanical HVAC & Plumbing Design Engineer for buildings.
+ PE license in Alaska required.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
